Mazinger Z - Yubrin T9 and Satan Claus P10

P.S.: Doing Satan Claus was the cringiest thing I had to work on in the 2(3) 1/2 years doing the Mazinger Monsters. I mean, c'mon, Go Nagai. I slapped all BALLS of reasoning, across Multiple County Lines, wondering "why would Dr. Hell, a genocidal megalomanical old fart, make that?". Anyway here we go!...

Satan Claus P10 and Yubrin T9 were the Humanoid Mechanical Beast that were first featured on Episode 56 of the Mazinger Z series.

Satan Claus, as his name implies, resembles a not so jolly version of Santa Claus with a mean frown, mounted on sleigh which is propelled by Rockets rather than reindeer, with a whip in hand, as well Rockets launchers in the Rocket Jet that propels the Sleigh. His only known weapons were the blades at the bottom of the sleigh for hit and runs as well the tip end of the whip was a three tube rocket launcher. Yubrin resembles a miner, with hard hat, holding the shell of the driller he covers himself with when drilling under the ground, and with the capability of flight, he used this mode for Air Spin Attacks. The lantern on the Hardhat would fire a laser beam.

In the episode, after studying the cause of his past defeats and the destruction of so many of his Mechanical Monsters, Dr. Hell, Baron Ashura and Count fabricate the most elaborate plan for victory – to steal the Alloy Z, to fabricate a new Mechanical Monster that would in turn destroy Mazinger Z.

This achieve with the help of a ruse, in where the Borot Gang stumble upon a skirmish between Ashura's Iron Masks and Count Broken's Iron Cross soldiers – Borot is able to fend off most of them and two (one from each faction) are captured. Broken launches Satan Claus and it attacks Boss Borot – Sayaka sees this and calls Koji, and Z is launched and saves Boss from two incoming Rockets, and Satan Claus retreats, Boss then presents his prisoners to Koji and these are taken to the Photon Power Lab for interrogation and one of them, and Iron Mask soldier, flips against Dr. Hell on the pretext of been a dead man and the beast was sent out to kill him and warns of the incoming theft of the Alloy with an army of Beasts. Koji leaves to patrol on Z for the incoming force while the other kept watch on the prisoners. Left alone with no one to watch, the Prisoners set the plan in motion, and the Iron Cross sacrifices himself, while the Iron mask ran off to inform the others that his companion was heading to the storage mine to implant a bomb.

The Group heads down to the mine with the Iron mask through a secret elevator – once down there, the Iron mask showed his true colors and forces everyone out at gun point, and locks himself in. He then implanted a tracking device on the Alloy Z and is then killed off with an implanted bomb by Ashura via remote control and Yubrin T9 is sent out. Koji is warned by Sayaka, but he is distracted by Satan Claus who keeps him occupy – Yubrin then breaks into the mine and steals the Alloy, Sayaka and Boss go after it on Aphrodite and Borot, and Satan Claus is sent out to meet up with Yubrin.

When Yubrin comes out, he is captured by Borot, who tosses him to a mountain, the beast blast one of Borot's arm with its laser and blocks one of Aphrodite Missiles. Satan Claus arrives and Yubrin throws the Alloy to it before he was destroyed by Aphrodite, Z goes after Satan Claus, who rendezvous with the Bood – Z tries to stop it with the Rust Hurricane and finishes it with Breast of Fire, but the Alloy falls onto the Bood's cargo hull and it submerges.

Hell adquires the Alloy, from which Balmos Q7 is created.

Yubrin has appeared on Kaiser, Angels, Mazinger Infinity and was part of the Monster roster on the beat up game Mazinger Z for the Super Famicom in 1993. Satan Claus only other known appereance is in the Manga Mazinger Angels.
