Mazinger Series - Warrior Beast Giran and Dokaider

Dokaider and Giran were the SuperHuman Warrior Beast duo first and only featured on Episode 53 of the Great Mazinger Anime.

Dokaider was a golden and brown color SuperHuman Warrior Beast, with a black head with an evil grin and a horn located on the forehead, capable of firing a laser beam - he sported a Drill for a left arm and a triple missile launcher for a right arm, which also worked as Gatling Gun. His real face was located in the lower portion of the chest, and was the more armored of the two Beasts. While Giran was Dark and Bright Red in color, sported Swords for hands, capable of cutting anything as well charging these up to release a heat wave that incinerated everything in its path, and the plates on its shoulders were also knives that he could be thrown at an enemy. His head had three horns, two of which were drills, and sported one red eye, which he fired a red laser beam from. Giran had a large gray rocket on his back for flight and his real face was in the abdomen. Both of their real faces, showed to be bearded with evil smiles on them.

While Shiro makes contact with Koji in New York, both Warrior Beasts were unleashed at the same time – Dokaider attacking Tokyo after been launched from Demonika, under the commands of the Great Marshall of Hell and General Julicaesar, while Giran raided Osaka from the air. As the Science Fortress became aware of the attacks, they unleashed the Mechas to deal with them: Great flew to Tokyo, to fight Dokaider, while Venus A flew to Osaka to confronted Giran.

As Great arrived he was incapable to pierce Dokaider's armor, and was rapidly pin down by the Gatling Gun – this allowed Demonika to escape underground and into the bay on its way to attack the Science Fortress – meanwhile Venus arrives on Osaka, briefly stops Giran's attack on the city but is rapidly pinned down by Giran's swordsman skills and Heat attack and loses her limbs and wing in the fight. Jun attempts to escape on the Star Queen, but she's shutdown by the Laser Eye in her escape attempt, but before Giran could crush her off, he is order by Julicaesar to fly to Tokyo to help Dokaider. Demonika emerges in front of the lab and attacks – Shiro calls Tetsuya, but before he could answer the call for help, Great is shutdown by Giran's laser, and now he stands in a two on one fight.

The Two Beasts pinned Great down with their attacks, Giran losing his right arm by the Great Boomerang – Giran throws one of his sharp shoulder plates, Great avoids it, but falls on the grasps of Dokaider, who holds him for Giran, who rushes towards it with its horn drills, but Great slips and Giran stabs and wound Dokaider, Tetsuya takes the chance to dispose of Dokaider with the Breast Burn. Giran and Great take flight and the two have a sword fight, Tetsuya request the Great Booster and lab launches it, Great locks to it and attempts to slice Giran, who avoids it. Demonika then scores a hit, wounding Dr. Kabuto, Borot and Borot Jr attempt to provide protection, but are no match for Demonika's weapons barrage – Dr. Yumi flies to the Fortress and realizing what was unfolding, with Great Pinned by Giran, Venus, Borot and Jr. out of action, Dr. Kabuto wounded and the lab on the verge of sinking, calls for Koji's help and he flies from NYC to Tokyo.

(Side note: Take for a moment that a flight from NYC to Tokyo is like a day long, so … I dunno how they survive this? Is by far the most laughable, and beautiful, part of the episode – Koji and Z are back in action and he makes a trip from NYC to Tokyo, on a 70's jet liner, in under 2 minutes as war rages over his friends. This is the moment when they realized the show was in trouble and they were like “Fuck it! the hell with build up, we are warping this mother fucker to Tokyo if is the last thing we do!” XD) Moving on...

Koji parachutes on the Photon Power lab, duns the suit once away, takes off on the Jet Pilder … and calls for his name. Mazinger Z emerges and both Mecha and Pilot are one. (it's very difficult to hold the joy here:3). Koji then calls for the Jet Scrander and Z once again takes flight, and flies to stop Demonika from finishing off the Science fortress, as Tetsuya sees Z, he finishes off Giran with the Booster in a spin attack. Z and Great team up and fend off the Demonika causing a great deal of damage, Julicaesar tries to stopped them, but loses his left arm (funny enough you seen an animation error later) and is beaten back by Z, forcing the Great Marshall to order the retreat.
