Mazinger Series - Mikene Warrior Beast Gunser

Gunser was a Tank Mounted Intelligence Army Warrior Beast who only appeared on Episode 49 of the Great Mazinger Anime. He was Green and Purple in color, it had a long neck with a medieval style head with a curved blade on top and horns on each side. His forearms were covered in spikes. Fully Refitted, his arsenal was comprise of a plow shield, which he would used for protection and ramming, with a laser cannon in the center, carrying grenades on the back, and missile launchers in the chest – he would also quite often run over an enemy in hit and run attacks. Gunser was part of a small roster of Warrior Beasts whose brain was located on the actual head.

Gunser is first seen immediately attacking the city at night (lacking the gear he would later have), blasting people with missiles he fired on his chest, the lab launches Great to respond to the attack, although they didn't want to inform Prof. Kabuto, who was planning to go on a camping trip with Shiro. As Great arrives, he disposes of Gunser, by ripping off its arms with drill punches and blasting a hole in the chest with a combination of the Great Sword and Thunder Break – the Beast then turns around and retreated, unbeknownst to Tetsuya, this to have been a ploy of Marquis Janus and orders Gunser to be repaired and refitted.

The following day, Prof. Kabuto and Shiro left for their vacation trip, leaving Tetsuya in charge, Janus close by, watches the Kabutos leave as the Great Team over confidentially take their day off, her Catrus Soldiers work hard refitting Gunser. As she reports to Argos, the Intelligence Army plans a two stage attack, with a Refitted Gunser attacking the city and dealing with the Great Team, while her Catrus Soldiers, who had gather around the cabin, will attempt to Assassinate Prof. Kabuto and Shiro – the Professor taking precautions taking a weapon while ridding a horse with his son, the Catrus not far behind. After a near scare where Kabuto saved Shiro and the horse from going off a cliff, Janus send the signal to attack – Demonika launches Gunser under the water, and the Catrus surround the Kabutos, but the professor fends off the assassins with his gun, disintegrating some of them, rides the horse with Shiro, galloping back to the cabin. Gunser emerges and attacks the city crushing people under the falling rubble from the buildings or blasting them with the missiles, the lab becoming aware of it, inform Tetsuya and Jun, but Jun leaves as Tetsuya shrugs with arrogance while riding a Go Kart and crashing onto a safety wall, getting his arm hurt in the process. Back at the cabin, Kabuto informs the lab and is aware of the Beast, the Catrus break in, but he kills them in droves, before getting shot in the leg.

Back in the city, Venus arrives and attacks Gunser, but the beast blocks her laser beams with it's Plow Shield and shuts her down with missiles. She lands, but is knocked out and rammed and tossed time and time again, Borot Arrives to help out, but is disposed by Gunser rapidly. Tetsuya arrived on the Great Mazinger, but unlike the last fight, Gunser was ready – it fires its missiles, destroying one of the punches, then tosses a grenade that impaled and explodes on Great and crashes, Tetsuya's problems are only worsen by his wounded right arm, as he is not capable to pilot Great with the usual fast passe. Back at the Cabin, Shiro and his father take their chances and escape on his (I'm not kidding here) James Bond car, and taking the chance to fend off more Catrus in the process – at one point one Catrus hitting the back wheel with a rocket, but the Professor's car is capable to replace this wheel with another automatically and make it to the Fortress safely.

Great is still been pinned down by the beast, one Grenade hitting it in the back, destroying the booster Section and then been rammed and run over by Gunser constantly, Demonika then takes off to the lab, Jun wakes and under the professor's instructions, attacks the beast from behind, her rockets fail, but it gets Gunser's attention and attacks Venus with lasers and a Grenade. Tetsuya responds with a Photon Missile, opening a wound in the beasts, then takes the chance to discharge a Thunder Break through it, disposing of Gunser. Janus seeing this turn of events orders retreat.
